Cycas revoluta ‘Cycad’ or ‘Japanese Sago Palm’
The Cycas revoluta ‘Cycad’ or ‘Japanese Sago Palm’ is a most handsome, primitive plant, native to Japan. The Cycad is very slow growing and stiff, feather-like leaves up to 90cm long, the leaflets are a very dark, glossy green and point outward and up from the main trunk. Cycads are great for a feature specimen, planted in rows, large tubs and ferneries, The Cycas revoluta ‘Cycad’ or ‘Japanese Sago Palm’ is quite hardy and will tolerate dry periods and light frosts. For best results plant in a sunny to part shaded spot in well drained soil.
